Mac: Full Screen Gesture

Posted on September 23, 2012

The folks at OS X Daily provide this handy tip:
If you are an OS X Lion user who prefers to use apps full screen AND you have a trackpad than you can enable a secret gesture to switch between your last two app. (In fact, it acts a lot like the LAST button on your TV remote.) In terminal and without the quotes type:

“defaults write double-tap-jump-back -bool TRUE;killall Dock”

Now switch to a full screen app and double tap your trackpad with FOUR fingers. It will send you back to the previous space you were on.

To turn it off type, again without quotes, this in terminal:

“defaults delete double-tap-jump-back;killall Dock”
